George Clause received his Bachelor and Law degrees from Santa Clara University in 1975 and 1979 respectively. He has tried over 90 jury trials and binding arbitrations, primarily representing defendants in medical and legal malpractice cases. His current practice emphasizes the defense of professional liability cases against physicians, hospitals, HMO’s, attorneys and corporate officers and directors. He also represents physicians and other health care providers in licensing matters and serves as a private arbitrator in medical malpractice cases. His clients include The Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Mednax, Pediatrix Medical Group of California , Western Litigation Specialists and The County of Santa Clara.

Mr. Clause is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, (ACTL) and is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA.) He is one of 60 attorneys in California specializing in the defense of medical malpractice cases to comprise the invited membership of the California Medical-Legal Committee and has been repeatedly selected by his peers as a “Northern California Super Lawyer” in healthcare and medical malpractice. He is a member of the American Inns of Court, William A. Ingram Inn, and holds the highest rating (AV) for professional ethics and ability by Martindale-Hubbell.
