Vanessa Vinje

Vanessa is a trial attorney with a background in complex civil litigation involving landlord/tenant habitability and environmental toxic torts. Vanessa attended Fresno Pacific University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in communications in 2009. Thereafter, Vanessa attended Western State College of Law in Fullerton, earning her Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, in 2015.

During law school, Vanessa participated in Western State's mock trial competition team where she gained valuable trial skills through mentorship of practicing lawyers. Vanessa also clerked with the Orange County Public Defender's Office where she participated in arraignments and motion practice. Due to her work with the OCPD's office, Vanessa earned recognition at graduation for exemplary public service.

Vanessa attended law school part time in the evenings while working full time for Farmers Insurance's in house defense firm. She began her legal career as a secretary where she worked with attorneys on the environmental/habitability team. She was later promoted to a paralegal and gained valuable experience drafting discovery responses and writing motions. Upon admission to the California State Bar, Vanessa was promoted to a trial attorney. While an attorney at Farmers, Vanessa handled various personal injury cases from start to finish. She took seven cases to trial, obtaining favorable verdicts in all including three defense verdicts.

Vanessa enjoys spending her spare time with her family exploring their local surroundings and watching documentaries. She has also been an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts of California Central Coast since 2018.
